Orson Pratt Brown and His Five Wonderful Wives, etc

This note is to thank Otis James Klein for his efforts to provide the Brown family with the two volume set "Orson Pratt Brown and His Five Wonderful Wives and Their 34 Children, Vols. 1 & 2". I received mine on December 31, 2007, along with the DVD/CD combination. Our family brought in the New Year 2008 while watching the DVD. We are grateful that this work has been completed and is now available for our families to read and relish.

I do need to again bring to the DVD viewer's attention a photo identification error. We contributed the correct photo at the 2005 Reunion but the correction was not made on the DVD that we received last week. The man in the photo shown in our DVD as William Nicol Fife may be Ovid Foy. We are certain that Fife can be seen at http://www.orsonprattbrown.com/Fife/WmNicolFife1831-1915.html or if you go to the DUP site for the Ogden Museum his photo can be ordered from there. It is also on display, framed, on the wall by the south or back entrance to the Ogden museum.

Thank you again Klein-Storr family for your contribution to the Brown Family heritage and history. I would have gladly proof-read, and contributed more photos and information had you been at all open to assistance by family history buffs. But as the saying goes "there is no accounting for personalities."

Hello,

I am looking for original diaries and journals of those who settled the Mormon Colonies in Mexico. Do you have any advice on good sources or locations where I might be able to locate these sorts of writings? Personal correspondence between the colonists and one another (or relatives in the U.S.) would also be desirable.

I would love to read Orson Pratt Brown's journal ... will that text be online soon?

Thanks in advance for your guidance!
Cyndi

There are still a few printed copies available of Orson Pratt Brown's 2 volume set. I've seen them on eBay for $125 - $135, or you can get them from Legend eXpress Publishing for $110, includes s&h. http://www.legendexpress.biz/NewFiles/aboutbookOPBrown.html
