I was raised by Otis. He is my step grandad and I would like to find his daughter Betty Ann Sorenson to see if she would like to exchange family pictures. If anyone knows how to contact her please email me at pepou812@sbcglobal.net

Orson's Autobiography - Colonia Oaxaca
Just in case you do not have the first 14 pages of Orson's autobiography, it is available from brownhistory.org, (unless it is a different autobiography). My Langford family comes from Colonia Oaxaca, thus my interest in the Mexican Colonies! Thank you for your web site.

Editor: Thank you David for the attached fourteen pages plus 51. Take another look at the website menu. The pages you sent are the first 65 pages of Clyde Weiler Brown's book and are also exactly the same as the edited work of Nelle Spilsbury Hatch. So glad you are enjoying the website. Please continue to send any additions or corrections. We would love to get more data on Colonia Oaxaca!

Stephen Fairchild Wilson
E-mail to the webmaster was not able to be relayed to the webmaster of this site so I'm hoping you get this message from here. My goodness what a wonderful website you have! My search for information on what appears to be an erroneous Adams (from Haynie back to Wilson then Phelps then Adams) hook-up, led me to your site where I discovered the typed biography of Stephen Fairchild Wilson, husband of Sarah Jane Brown. I have a copy of the original journal entries and was wondering how I might obtain the typed biography in full. ??? Thanks for any help in this matter that you may be able to provide.

Galbraith Book of Mormon
I recently purchased a book, The Book of Mormon 1950 with an inscription: Elder Wm J. Galbraith 210 Patterson Ogden Utah. Could this be a relative? I am researching the value of the book and happened upon your site. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Please respond the the above email. Thank you!

Cecelia Cornue
As you know, Cecelia Henrietta Cornu had two sons: James Frederick Brown (my grandfather) and Charles David Brown. I am attaching some pictures that my brother sent me -- one of Ceclia, a few of James Frederick and his family, but also one of Charles David and his family. I hope these are helpful to you.
Unfortunately, due to a lot of family and other activies in the past few weeks, I just have not had time to go to your website and look at what you have done. I am keeping your email on top of my files, however, and I hope I get a chance to visit it in the next few days.
I really admire people like you who are putting so much time into family histories! Keep up the good work.
Most sincerely,
James B. Allen

Colonia Diaz
My great grandfather, Thomas Kimball Nelson was born in Colonia Diaz in 1889. My grandfather, George Kimball Nelson told me stories about him Now I can see what kind of life his father had. Thanks!

A different Galbraith and Brown conection
I was searching the internet and I put in my great grandfathers name William Wilkie Galbraith. I found This excellent web site. My Grandfather was Edmund Powell Galbraith and was the first child of the fourth wife of William. I have always wondered about the other three wifes and their families. This brought me such great information. Because my Mom was raised in the mormon colonies the name Brown and Pratt are mentioned all the time. When I went looking for information about the Browns I saw "capt. James Brown." I said no way this can not be my James Brown - but it is. My Maternal Great grandmother - Mary Elma Wilson Haynie - is his great granddaughter. Any way thanks so much for the website!

Thank you!
Erold Wiscombe called me and gave me this website, & I hasten to congratulate you on a beautiful job; I look forward to exploring it in detail. One correction: My father, Dewey Brown, born 11-14-1898, did not have a middle name, although he adopted the use of the middle initial "B" in later years. My brother, Dewey Bernard Brown, was born 7-12-1923 and died 3-2-1924, both events in El Paso, Texas. Keep up the good work! Cousin James Gordon Brown
