Hi, My dads father name was Don Salvador Ateca. Ateca was married to someone from Spain, but met my grandmother when we was in Mexico. Ateca had a sister named Anita, I remember going to her home in California. Ateca owned gambling casinos in Mexico, my dad was born in El Paso and was raised in those casinos. I am not sure if its thes same Ateca or not...

Hello my grandfather was Salvador Ateca and I think is the same as I had an aunt name Anita and he owns one casino in Mexico City and other in Cuernavaca. He was married with my grandmother Bernarda and had 6 children. 5 girls and 1 boy. He died 15 years ago in El Paso Tx and my aunts and my mom live in Mexico City. Please keep in contact as I love to know about family. Thanks
I came upon this site while conducting a search for Salvador Ateca. My father had the pleasure of working with Mr. Ateca for a number of years and is filled with stories of their shared interest and their arguments (which always ended in a laugh). After Mr. Ateca's death, my dad kept in close contact with his widow, Bernarda. She helped see him through an almost terminal illness as she said her husband had asked that she look after him as if he were their son. I'd love to know if there's any published information on his life. I know it would make my dad extremely happy if you have any idea where we can obtain a picture. My dad inhereted some of Mr. Ateca's books as well as some other personal items. However, due to an emergency in which he had to leave the country, he was unable to keep the items with him and they were gone upon his return to Mexico. I know being able to read about him or having a picture of someone he so loved and respected would be a true treasure for him. Any leads/information is greatly appreciated.
